Butterscotch Yummies
Written by admin on September 2, 2008 – 1:47 pm -I found this recipe and tried it last night for my family and it sure was a hit. These cookies are so good taste like a oatmeal cookie, and so goood. This is a great cookie recipe, very glad I tried them.
1 (18.25 ounce) package white cake mix
1 (3.4 ounce) package instant butterscotch pudding mix
2/3 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup water
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheets.
In a large bowl, stir together cake mix, instant pudding, and rolled oats. Add oil, sour cream, water, and vanilla; mix until smooth and well blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Roll dough into 1 1/2 inch balls, and place 2 inches apart on the prepared cookie sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Malted Milk Balls Cookies
Written by admin on April 25, 2008 – 10:37 am -Again chocolate is one of my favorite things, and I found this recipe uses the whopper candies and just had to try them they were a big hit the whole family loved them. So thought I would share.
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup butter, room temperature
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups roughly chopped maltesers/whoppers/malted milk balls
Preheat the oven to 350F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in milk and vanilla, then gradually blend in the flour mixture. Do not mix to much; stir only until no streaks of flour remain. Stir in the chopped Whoppers/Malted Milk Balls.
Drop into 1-inch balls (tbsp sized balls) on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-14 minutes, until lightly browned.
Cool on baking sheet for 2-3 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Pudding Cookies
Written by admin on March 3, 2008 – 8:31 pm -Easy cookie without a lot of ingredients. You can mix this up usually with stuff you have around the house.
1 pkg. instant pudding mix
3/4 cup biscuit mix
1/4 cup cooking oil
1 egg (beaten)
Mix all ingredients and drop by teaspoons on cookie sheet . Bake 8 to 10 minute at 375 degrees. Egg and oil are all the liquid you need.

Honey Balls
Written by admin on February 27, 2008 – 7:55 pm -Guarantee to be an easy cookie to make for the holidays that everyone will like.
1 cup shortening
1/4 cup honey
2 cups flour
2 tsp. anilla
2 cups ground nuts
Combina all ingredients together, form into balls about a teaspoon full. Bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes or until brown. While still hot, roll in powdered sugar.

Two Minute Cookies
Written by admin on February 24, 2008 – 2:01 pm -My daughter always called these two minute cookies because that is all the longer she would say it took me to make them, when she was trying to talk me into making them.
1 cup sugar 1/4 cup milk
1/2 stick margarine 1 cup quick oats (packed)
1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 cup coconut
2 heaping tbs cocoa 1/2 cup nuts (chopped)
Cook first 5 ingredients over medium heat for 2 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients. Drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper till cool.

Spicy Apple Cookie
Written by admin on February 16, 2008 – 6:21 pm -This is guaranteed to be a hit. Eat them warm for a warm apple pie kinda taste. This recipe takes a lot of spices but is worth the effort in the end.
1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 cup apples ( grated )
1 cup raisins
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup chopped nuts ( if desired)
Mix all ingredients together. Drop by spoonfuls on to cookie sheet bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees.

Pumpkin Cookies
Written by admin on February 7, 2008 – 7:54 pm -Excellent pumpkin recipe for the holidays.Thanksgiving or Christmas they are everyones favorite.
1 cup shortening
1 egg
2 cups flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp.salt
1/2 cup. nuts
1 cup sugar
1 cup pumpkin
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
Cream shortening, sugar,egg and pumpkin. Add dry ingredients. Mix well. Add nuts and vanilla. Drop dough by teaspoon on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 350 degrees.

Chocolate Balls
Written by admin on February 3, 2008 – 8:38 pm -Special family favorite. That everyone will love. They can be kept in the freezer for days. They never last that long at my house.
1 1/2 cup peanut butter
1 cup softened margarine
1 tsp vanilla
1 lb. box confectioners sugar
1 12 oz. bag of chocolate chips
1 T. vegetable oil
Beat together peanut butter, softened margarine and vanilla. This mixture will be crumbly. Add confectioners sugar mix well. Take the crumbs and roll into balls and place on wax paper. Chill for about one hour. In a double broiler melt chocolate chips and vegetable oil use a toothpick and dip the peanut butter balls in the chocolate. Place them on wax paper and chill well and enjoy.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

1/2 cup unsifted all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup solid vegetable shortening
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1 (12-ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease baking sheets. Combine flour, salt and baking soda. Beat together shortening, sugars and vanilla in a large bowl until creamy. Add eggs, beating until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop batter by well-rounded teaspoonfuls on to greased baking sheets. Bake chocolate chip cookies 8 to 10 minuter or until golden. Cool cookies on sheets on wire rack for 2 minutes. Remove cookies to wire rack to cool completely.

Easy Peanut Butter Cookies

Guaranteed to be a hit with the kid. This peanut butter cookie recipe is so easy. My family just loves them.
1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 tsp. soda 1 cup peanut butter
3/4 cup margarine 2 eggs (well beaten)
Mix all ingredients together and then form into roll. Chill until firm enough to slice. Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 425 degrees.
