Broccoli and Cauliflower Salad

This a quick and easy salad.  Sure to be a hit. This recipe is very good and good for you,eat your vegetables.

1 bunch broccoli (just the flowers)
1 head cauliflower
1 medium onion
4 oz. grated cheddar cheese
1 lb fried bacon

Mix with the following dressing:

1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sugar
2T. vinegar

Low Calorie Popsicles

I found this recipe in a magazine a long time ago and make it all the time in the summer time for the kids when my daughter was little I would make it for the whole neighbor hood, they all love them. And it was very good for the .
1 pkg sugar free jello (any flavor)
1/4 cup non-fat vanilla yogurt
1 c. boiling water

Boil 1 cup of water and mix with your favorite flavor of sugar-free jello.
Refrigerate for 5 minutes.
Mix in 1/4 cup of non-fat vanilla yogurt and pour into popsicle maker or small paper cups (add a stick after it’s partially set). Freeze.

Honey Balls

Guarantee to be an easy cookie to make for the holidays that everyone will like.

1 cup shortening

1/4 cup honey

2 cups flour

2 tsp. anilla

2 cups ground nuts

Combina all ingredients together, form into balls about a teaspoon full. Bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes or until brown. While still hot, roll in powdered sugar.

Sweet and Sour Meatballs

So easy to make and so tasty.
1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, chopped fine
salt, pepper and paprika (to taste)
1 egg
1 tablespoon water
bread crumbs, small amount

Sauce:

3/4 cup catsup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons lemon juice

Mix sauce in frying pan, bring it to a boil. Mix up meatballs, put in sauce. Cook slowly for one hour. Serve over rice.

Deviled Eggs

Everyones favorite for a party or a  picnic or just for the family meal.

12 hard-cooked eggs
2 to 2 1/2  tablespoons mayonnaise, or to moisten
2 teaspoon prepared mustard, or to taste
1 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons sweet pickle relish, or to taste
paprika
Cut hard-cooked eggs in half lengthwise. Remove and mash the yolks; combine with mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and relish. Refill centers of the egg whites with the mixture. Garnish with ground paprika.

Coconut Cream Cheese Frosting

Coconut and cream cheese what a great combination. this frosting is very good on spice cake or carrot cake for an added extra flavor.
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature
2 cups flaked coconut
One (8 ounce) package cream cheese, at room temperature
2 cups confectioners’ sugar
2 teaspoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in the coconut and cook, stirring constantly, until coconut is golden brown, about 8 minutes.

In a bowl cream the remaining butter and the cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy. Add the confectioners’ sugar, milk, and vanilla slowly, beating after each addition. Beat until smooth. Stir in the toasted coconut.

Coffee Frosting

Great tasting coffee flavor frosting. I love coffee so this is one of my favorites.

One (8 ounce) package cream cheese, at room temperature
2 tablespoons evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 cups confectioners’ sugar
4 teaspoons instant coffee or ground espresso beans

In a medium bowl beat together the cream cheese and evaporated milk until smooth.
Beat in the vanilla, salt, sugar, and coffee until spreading consistency

Old Fashion Frosting

Home made frosting that is so easy to make. This is a great recipe for frosting that takes no time to make.

1/4 cup soft or melted margarine
Good dash salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons milk
2 cups powdered sugar
In a medium sized bowl, combine all of the ingredients, mix until all is smooth. Spread upon a 9 by 13-inch cake and serve. This is a very simple frosting. This recipe is easily doubled or tripled, and can also be tinted with food coloring for cool holiday effects.

Double Chocolate Cake

Double chocolate cake was is better then that. I love chocolate so this is one of my favorite recipes.

1 package chocolate cake mix

1 package chocolate instant pudding and pie filling mix

1 cup milk

1/2 cup sour cream

4 large eggs

2 cups (12-ounce package) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels

1 cup chopped walnuts

Powdered sugar

PREHEAT oven to 350° F. Grease and flour 10-inch bundt pan or other tube pan.

Combine cake mix, pudding mix, milk, sour cream and eggs in large mixer bowl. Beat on low speed just until blended. Beat on high speed for 2 minutes. Stir in morsels and nuts. Pour into prepared bundt pan or other tube pan.

Bake for 55 to 65 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in cake comes out clean.

Cool in pan for 20 minutes. Invert onto wire rack to cool completely. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Apple Crisp

Apple dessert with a yummy cinnamon taste. That can be eaten warm.

8 to 10 apples, sliced
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
1 egg
1/3 cup margarine
cinnamon

Place sliced apples in the bottom of 9×13 baking dish. Mix together flour,sugar,baking powder, salt, and egg till crumbly. Sprinkle over apples. Melt margarine and pour over mixture. sprinkle with cinnamon and bake at 350 degrees 40 to 45 minutes
